When ordering a single (walkway) gate or a double (driveway) gate, whether standard (straight) or arched, use the helpful information below as a step-by-step guide. In terms of construction, all gates ordered will correspond to your chosen fence style, grade and selected optional features. Gates can be ordered independent of fence panels and can often be upgraded in ways that are unique to gates, leaving corresponding fence panels unaffected.

1 Select Desired Configuration
Gates can be ordered single (walkway) or double (driveway), standard (straight) or arched, as depicted. These drawings are only a representation – your gate design will reflect your selected style.

2 Review Included Gate Hardware
All Classic Collection™ gates are, by default, equipped with a Lokk-Latch, and Multi-Fit hinges, each of which is sold separately. Double (driveway) Classic gates include, by default, one standard drop rod, which is sold separately. Specify any changes at time of order because all gate frames are sized to accommodate hardware for a particular opening. Changes in hardware can often mean changes in the size of a gate frame even if the size of the opening is constant!

3 Specify Gate Width
The width of a gate is the width of the opening, not the actual width of the gate frame.
- Single gate standard widths available:
36'', 42'', 48'', 54'', and 60''.
- Double* gate standard widths available:
72'', 96'', and 120''.
- Custom widths are available and cost-effective!

4 Specify Gate Height
The height of a gate is always the same as the height of fence panels ordered unless otherwise specified. Custom heights are available and cost effective! When ordering gates independent of fence panels, simply specify the desired height.

5 Pick Your PostsAll Classic Collection™ gate posts are by default 2'' square x .125'' wall thickness, in either ends or blanks. (These same posts can be ordered with .060'' or .080'' wall thicknesses, both of which are not recommended for use with gates.) Posts can also be upgraded to 2 1/2'' square by .100'' wall thickness. 3'' or 4'' square posts are available but only as blank posts. The length of any of these posts can be of your choosing, sold in one-foot increments from 5' to 9' long. When length is not specified, the default length equals the height of the gate plus three feet. Gates and posts must be purchased separately. Custom post lengths are available and cost effective! Standard caps are always included with every post ordered unless upgraded to ball caps.

6 Consider Additional Options
It is possible to ''dress up'' just the gate on any order of fencing. For instance, you may want to order Ball Caps only for the gate frame uprights, but not the other posts on your fence order. Or, you may want to order adornments for your gate such as Butterfly Scrolls or an Estate Scroll. For wider gates, a welded U-Frame is an important option to consider. Arched Gate Feature
Any of our gates, single or double, in any of our collections, residential or commercial, can be upgraded to an arched gate. This cost-effective upgrade will highlight your gate passage as a beautiful focal point. Arched double gates are constructed as two halves of one continuous arch. They are elegant and a cost-effective alternative to our Regal Estate™ Gate Collection. We have found that when the optional arched feature is ordered, our customers also upgrade to ball caps for the gate posts.

Rackable Panels
Since the world is not flat, it is often necessary to install fence panels on a sloped terrain. With some exceptions (which are noted in style specifications) standard fence panels can ''rack'' or conform to a grade slope, but there are limits. For more severe grade slopes, Xtra-Rack™ rackable panels can be ordered. See style specifications for the limits of Xtra-Rack™ panels. If your conditions exceed these limits as well, we offer a Max-Rack™ feature on many styles, but we recommend you consult with one of our sales associates for the limits of our Max-Rack™ rackable panels. There is no upcharge for Xtra-Rack™ or Max-Rack™ panels except for when a John Russell™ designer fence is ordered there is a $15 per panel upcharge. Panels come factory-assembled as Xtra-Rack™ or Max-Rack™. These features must be specified at time of purchase and cannot be added to previously built panels.

Stationary Rail Mounting Brackets
This is what you need when a fence panel is being attached directly to a structure such as a pillar or building without the use of a punched post. When necessary, though, they can also be attached to posts. These brackets are available in sizes to fit the horizontal railing of any Integrity™ fence grade. Stationary rail mounting brackets are used for ''straight-on'' attachments. Angled attachments require adjustable rail mounting brackets (see below). Rail mounting brackets are sold separately in any of our five standard Integrity™ colors. Please specify color, type and grade when ordering.

Vertically Adjustable Rail Mounting Brackets
For significant (up-and-down) slopes, these vertically adjustable brackets make it easy to mount Integrity™ Xtra-Rack™ or Max-Rack™ fence panels to blank (not pre-punched) fence posts or structures such as pillars or buildings. These brackets are available to fit the railing of any Integrity™ fence grade and sold separately in any of our five standard Integrity™ colors. Please specify color and grade when ordering.

Horizontally Adjustable Rail Mounting Brackets
For sharp (left-to-right) 45 degree angled turns, these horizontally adjustable brackets make it easy to mount standard fence panels to Integrity™ fence posts or structures such as pillars or buildings. These brackets are available to fit the railing of any Integrity™ fence grade and sold separately in any of our five standard Integrity™ colors. Please specify color and grade when ordering.

Ball Caps for Posts
This is a decorative way to cap any post, regardless of its dimensions. Ball Caps can be purchased for all of the posts or just for a few as an accent. When a standard cap is upgraded to a ball cap, the post will come with just the ball cap, not both. Ball caps are not factory-installed and can be purchased separately at any time. They are available in our five standard colors and in gold.

John Russell™ Designer Pickets
For a more substantial appearance, John Russell™ Designer 1" x 5/8" vertical pickets can replace standard 5/8'' square pickets on this Charlemagne™ style but only if pressed point spears are upgraded to a finial such as the Fleur de Lis. The wider 1'' exposure is enhanced with vertical flutes and the .062'' wall thickness adds greater strength and rigidity. John Russell™ Designer panels come factory-assembled. This optional feature cannot be added to previously built panels.

Extreme™ Vertical Picket Spacing
Tighten the space between pickets from the standard 3 13/16'' and convert this Charlemagne™ style or any style in the Resort or Classic Collections into an iFence "Extreme". Closing the gap between pickets to only 1 5/8'', Extreme™ fences create a safer environment for small animals and add a measure of privacy. The tight picket spacing is not extended up beyond the middle horizontal rail in any three-rail design. Panels come factory-assembled as "Extreme". This optional feature cannot be added to previously built panels.

Puppy Pickets™
This feature adds "Extreme" 1 5/8" spacing only to the bottom section of the fence panel, making it safer for small animals while maintaining the visual appeal of our standard fence styles. Puppy Pickets™ can be added to any style, but keep in mind that this feature adds an additional horizontal rail to secure the extra pickets. These extra pickets come with Nouveau™ peaks but can be converted to Excelsior™ finial, Fleur de Lis finial, ImPress Point™, or flush (which means no speared protrusion above the additional rail). This feature is available for all grades of Integrity™ fence panels and gates. Puppy Pickets™ are 16" long in all grades but Ultimate™ grade fences, which feature 24" Puppy Pickets™. This optional feature is factory assembled and cannot be added to previously built panels or gates.

SuperRail™ Concealed Fastener System (CFS)
All Integrity Aluminum Products™ fences use stainless steel fasteners to secure the vertical pickets to the horizontal rails on one side of the fence panel. Powder coated to match the fence, this system is the surest way to secure pickets and minimize fence "rattle." Now, we offer the option to conceal these fasteners and make your fence even more durable! The unique SuperRail™ system doubles the horizontal rails, hiding the fasteners while adding incredible strength. It also closes off the bottom of the horizontal rails, making the panels virtually insect-free! Choose any style in any collection (Resort, Classic, Premier, and Ultimate) and convert it into The SuperRail™ Concealed Fastener System (CFS). CFS panels come factory-assembled. This optional feature cannot be added to previously built panels.

Posts Upgraded to 2 1/2" Square by .100" Wall
This Charlemagne™ style features 2'' square posts with two grades of wall thickness (.080'' and .125''). These posts can be upgraded to 2 1/2'' square (available only in .100'' wall thickness). These posts, like the others, include standard caps unless they are upgraded to ball caps. While not a structural necessity, upgrading to 2 1/2'' square posts can be ordered for the entire project or, if you like, just for the the gates, but this option must be specified at the time of order.

Wedge Flanges for Posts
When it isn't possible to ''sink'' a post into the ground, use this two-piece flange for surface attachment of 2'' or 2 1/2'' square posts. The flange is wedged into the base of the post and the internal bolt is tightened until the flange is affixed. Available in any of our five standard Integrity™ colors, this post-to-surface mounting attachment is not recommended for any fence exceeding 48'' in height (use welded flanges for heights over 48''). Wedge flanges are not factory-installed, can be ordered separately and do not include screws to mount to the surface (since applications can vary).

Welded Flanges for Posts
When it isn't possible to "sink" a post into the ground, and you need the most durable post-to-surface attachment we offer, order welded aluminum flanges. Factory-welded then powder coated in one of our five standard colors, these flanges are ideal for mounting to hard surfaces such as concrete. For best results, surface area should be level. Screws to mount to the surface are not included (since applications can vary). Unless otherwise specified, post with welded flange will be cut 3'' longer than the height of your fence. This allows one inch from the top of the fence to the top of the post and two inches from the bottom of the fence to the flange itself. For instance, a 48'' high fence to be installed using posts with welded flanges will have posts cut to 51''. All welded flanges are 3/8'' thick and have four pre-drilled holes for screws (one in each corner). For 2'' square posts order 4'' square flanges and for 2 1/2" posts order 6'' square flanges. All posts are welded centered on the flange unless customized (see custom fences). Available in all five standard Integrity™ colors.

Skirt for Base of Post
Conceal a flange, cover the core hole or just trim the base of your post with a post skirt! Just slip it on in seconds before the panel is attached. Skirts are available for both 2'' square and 2 1/2'' square posts in all five of our standard Integrity™ colors.

Solar Lamp as a Post Cap
Charges during the day and shines at night, this aluminum lamp fits nicely onto any 2'' square post. Order for gate posts, corner posts, every other post, or all posts! Available in black color only. For a comprehensive list of optional accessories, see Fences Without Limits™.

Staggered-height Spear Top
The Charlemagne™ fence style is a spear top design with its vertical pickets protruding evenly above the top horizontal rail to peak in an Excelsior™ finial. The peaks of the pickets can be ordered with alternating heights to create a staggered-height spear top just like our Bella Terra™ style, which is pictured at left. The Staggered-height option must be specified at time of order.

Circles
The Charlemagne™ can be adorned with circles positioned between pickets and between the top two horizontal rails. This effectively transforms the Charlemagne™ into the Providence™ style. Panels come factory-assembled with circles, which slightly alters the spacing of the top two horizontal rails. This optional feature cannot be added to previously built panels. Circles are available in all five standard colors and also in gold.

Butterfly Scrolls
The Charlemagne™ can be adorned with butterfly scrolls positioned between pickets and between the top two horizontal rails. This effectively transforms the Charlemagne™ into the Valencia™ style. Panels come factory-assembled with Butterfly scrolls but this optional feature can be added to previously built panels. Butterfly scrolls can be purchased separately. They are available in all five standard colors and also in gold.

Gold
The Fleur de Lis finials of the Charlemagne™ style can be ordered in gold. In addition to our five standard colors, the following accessories are also available in gold: circles, butterfly scrolls, estate scrolls, Excelsior™ finials, and ball caps.

No-problem™ Custom-sized Panels or Gates
Non-conforming conditions are common to fencing, so while others offer only 6' wide panels in pre-determined heights, we offer you real solutions for real circumstances. Let us eliminate your frustrations with cost-effective customization! For instance, do you need to fence in an area one foot longer than a multiple of 6'? Save yourself the cost of an extra post and the work involved in digging another hole by ordering one 7' wide panel. Conversely, when fencing in an area one foot less than a multiple of 6', save money by ordering one 5' wide panel and eliminate the waste! Often, just one panel needs to be taller than the rest. Or shorter. Maybe you need a gate that's made for a 50'' opening instead of a standard 48'' opening. Don't sweat it. And don't let a lesser outfit force you into ''standards'' that don't work for your special conditions. Save time and money with No-problem™ customization!
